There’s nothing better than the beginning of a new year to get yourself organized. As we start 2009 here are a few dates to mark down on your calendar that are important for the environmental movement.
March 22nd - World Water Day

March 28th - Earth Hour
Earth Hour will take place this year at 8:30 pm on Saturday March 28th 2009. For more information take a look at the Official Earth Hour Site.
April 22nd - Earth Day

June 5th - World Environment Day
For more information on this event check out the United Nations Web Site on World Environment Day.
September 22nd - Car Free Day
Every September 22nd communities around the country have organized car free days or at least car free zones for specific periods to bring attention to alternatives available for transportation that do not involve the use of cars.
2009 - Year of the Gorilla
