Too much of a good thing can come back to bite you. Take plastics for example. In 100 years plastics have penetrated every aspect of our lives. It’s in our cars, workplaces, and homes. We’ve grown dependent on it.
A great feature of plastic is its durability. Try getting rid of it. It lasts and lasts and lasts. There’s the problem. What happens to all the plastic we produce once we no longer need it?
Forever Plastics Documentary
To explore this question, a documentary broadcast on the CBC called Forever Plastic looks at the problem of plastic waste. The plastics industry want us to believe that recycling is the answer. The documentary looks at recycling and discovers that it may not be the solution everyone wants.
