Too much of a good thing can come back to bite you. Take plastics for example. In 100 years plastics have penetrated every aspect of our lives. It’s in our cars, workplaces, and homes. We’ve grown dependent on it.
A great feature of plastic is its durability. Try getting rid of it. It lasts and lasts and lasts. There’s the problem. What happens to all the plastic we produce once we no longer need it?

There is no denying the convenience of being able to quickly microwave a frozen dinner or snack. However, recent testing has shown that certain products labeled as “Microwave Safe” leach Bisphenol-A when heated. The amount of waste that is generated in lunchtime activities in the workplace and in schools has started to draw the attention of the environmental movement.
Every day employees and students bring in lunches composed of single serving disposable items, plastic cutlery and juice boxes all packed in a disposable bag. Even if you don’t bring a lunch, the amount of waste generated from take-out counters and restaurants is equally troubling. This unnecessary waste creates a heavy burden on the environment.
