If you are shopping for children’s toys this holiday season, you want to make sure that what you select is safe. One place to start is by going to the HealthyToys.Org website.
This site reviews children’s toys for a variety of safety issues including the presence of lead, bromine, cadmium, chlorine, arsenic and mercury. You can browse by toy type or by brand. Some of the international brands included in the database are toys from Disney, Barbie, Fisher-Price, Nintendo and Toys R Us. There is also a resource section with links to more sites that cover issues relating to chemical exposure.
